Atkins is one of the world’s most respected design, engineering and project management consultancies. Each year, Atkins hires 80 Apprentice students to various apprenticeship programmes across the business.
We hoped to partner with companies that can support our recruitment goals and ensure we reach the widest pool of students (particularly ED&I) interested in these types of programmes, and ultimately aren’t going to uni!
The main challenge we had was reaching candidates to share our offer. Working with NGTU has given us the ability to speak to students who maybe hadn’t considered a route in engineering or need support guiding them on an apprenticeship path and having comfort in knowing why this can be just as successful and rewarding as a university career path.

By partnering with NGTU, it enables us to reach a target pool of candidates of those not going to uni. A pool that we would not usually have access to. From 2019-to date, we have made around 30 offers to NGTU candidates. I think this shows that not only do we get a high volume of candidates, but also the high quality of the candidates we receive through the site.
